It is important to ask the taxi driver for the fixed fare \u20ac19 including luggage, but be prepared to pay a little more, before leaving. If you arrive by car you must embark at Porta di Massa, the car carrying ferry pier, in the port. When you arrive in Ischia at Ischia Porto you can reach the Hotel Villa Durrueli by number 7 bus getting down at the Bar La Violetta or by taxi with a fixed cost of \u20ac15 including luggage but check before the taxi leaves. Alternatively you can reach the hotel on foot in about 20 minutes. On a good day this makes a delightful stroll. You should follow the signs for Piazza degli Eroi and then continue for Ischia Ponte. Turn left at the Bar La Violetta and left again at the paper shop and you are on Via Traversa Mirabella and the Hotel Villa Durrueli Resort and Spa. The new railway system has made coming to Ischia by train even simpler using the Freccia Rossa high speed trains both from the North and the South from Italy\u2019s principal cities. Private transfers with car and driver can also be arranged to take you directly to the Hotel Villa Durrueli Resort & Spa from Naples airport or the Centrale railway station. Ischia can also be reached by helicopter; a breathtaking experience.
